Karen & Matt
This week's focal point is an engagement session. It had drama, suspense, laughter, and of course, tons of kissing!! The drama-I asked Karen to put the ring on a twig and got my macro to photograph it. I did, and then we both forgot to take it back off again! The suspense-Karen realizing the ring was off and running back to make sure it was still there and putting it back on. Laughter-poor Matt had to endure my teasing about him not being comfy with my camera yet, and kissing-well that goes without saying. :) Anyway, here are some Q&A from the adorable couple.
"We met through my brother at a random night out in Port Dalhousie. My pet name for him is Matty. Mine is babe. The big day is Aug 29 2009. Funniest part of the session was trying to get Matt to make a funny face. Scariest was almost leaving without my ring!"

Family Photography in Oakville
This week's focal point is all about a young family. Little J was awesome! He was so interested in everything around him that he let me take all the photos I wanted. Here's some more info on Little J from his Mom & Dad. :)
"Joseph is 11 months old. Joseph makes us laugh every day but he is most hilarious when he is doing something he knows he is not supposed to do. As an example, he will sit in front of an electric cord plugged into the wall and stare at it and try to get our attention. As soon as he has our attention, he lunges for the cord. What a pest!
As for what Joseph will be when he grows up, we keep saying that he will be a construction engineer. We live in a new subdivision and there is construction activity and construction vehicles all around us. He loves to watch the trucks go by, and watch the crews at work. He gets very excited at the site or sounds of construction.
The best part of the family photo session was watching Joseph be at ease and cooperate in front of the camera. He was just doing his own thing, as he usually does at this particular park and turning every once and a while at the camera for a fabulous photo. He seemed to be having a lot of fun."

Baby T
The little one has arrived, and here she is!! I asked Mom & Dad a few questions about being new parents...
Aimee, do you think Tia looks more like you or Brian? "The lower half of her face is from Brian and the upper half looks like me. Although Brian thinks she looks completely like him."
Brian, whatʼs the best thing about being a Dad? "The best thing about being a new dad is the amazement that I helped create such a wonderful little girl."
Is it true that you fell asleep halfway through your newborn studio session? Was it the soothing music or the sleepless nights? :) "Yes, Aimee and you (Karen) were busy with Tia. So I had nothing to do, and with little sleep and listening to Brahm's lullaby for the fortieth time, I could go postal or I could sleep. You know what I chose."
LOL, I guess there's a first time for everything.

Maternity in the Studio, This Week's Focal Point
Weekly Focal Point
Last week I shot this maternity session on location in Vineland. Check out this pregnant mommy! Although she's due any day here, she still looks comfortable and cute. Little baby T has just arrived, so check back for her newborn photos soon.

How cool is this place?! I've used this location before, it's just an old abandoned house. All my clients know I have a weakness for peeling paint. :P
